Chemical Wastewater Decolorization for a Dye Intermediate Factory in India

Project Background

India is one of the world's largest producers of dyes and dye intermediates. These factories generate wastewater with extremely high color intensity, complex organic compounds, and elevated COD levels, making treatment difficult.

A dye intermediate manufacturer in India contacted Bluwat Chemicals seeking an efficient method to remove color from their chemical wastewater before biological treatment.

After analyzing the wastewater characteristics, Bluwat engineers conducted laboratory jar tests using a Decolorizing Agent + PAC + PAM treatment process.

Laboratory Test Results

The jar test demonstrated significant color removal and improved sedimentation performance.

Within minutes, large flocs formed and the supernatant became significantly clearer.
